Servings: Makes 24-30 cookies
Ingredient
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
In the bowl of stand mixer, cream together the butter and both sugars.
Add in the egg and vanilla. Mix for several minutes until well blended.
In a separate bowl sift or whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture a little at a time on low speed just until blended.
Pour in the chocolate chips and mix on low speed until evenly incorporated into the mixture.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto a parchment-covered baking sheet. Bake 12 per pan.
Bake for 9-11 minutes until they barely start to brown around the edges. If baking two sheets at a time, rotate half way through and bake for about 13-14 minutes total.
Remove from the oven and let sit for 2 minutes before using a spatula to remove the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
